New Product Release for Horse Racing Enthusiasts - EZ-Pick-6 On-Line, Automated Structuring of Serial Exotic Wagers.
Las Vegas, NV April 17, 2004--Developed by eWeb Commerce, EZ-Pick-6 On-Line automates the task of constructing pick-3, pick-4, pick-5, or pick-6 tickets using multiple-ticket wagering strategies. Via a calculator-styled data entry screen, the handicapper enters his/her straight ticket selections. EZ-Pick-6 sorts, rearranges and processes the straight ticket selections producing a series of smaller wheeled tickets.
Two systematic methods are employed in 'breaking-up' and restructuring the handicapper's straight ticket. One (EZ-Pick-6 Deluxe) was designed for those veteran handicappers skilled at picking winners. Each leg of the exotic bet may consist of one or more selections. Where a leg of the bet contains multiple selections, one or more of the selections are classified as prime while the remaining selections are classified as alternates.
The handicapper is required to input a value representative of his/her handicapping proficiency. This value informs the software of the minimum number of the handicapper’s primary selections that must win in order for the wager to be successful. The software then constructs a series of smaller wheeled tickets based on the handicapper's single- ticket selections and the estimate of his/her handicapping proficiency.
The other method, known as EZ-Pick-6 Economy, is intended for novice race-fans and provides a cheaper alternative to playing the pick-6 only. It allows this type of player to stay well within his/her budget while giving him/her a shot at the top payout. EZ-Pick-6 Economy constructs a series of bet tickets such that the probability of hitting the consolation (5 of 6) is much greater than that of hitting 6 out of 6. Its attraction is its significantly lower ticket cost compared to that of a straight ticket (ticket costs will never exceed 25% of the single-ticket cost).
In both the Deluxe and Economy systems, the handicapper has the option of assigning line odds to each of his/her runner selections. The system ensures that total line odds in any race can never exceed 100%. Betting line odds are used to calculate the win probabilities of each EZ-Pick-6 constructed ticket. Win probability is also calculated for the straight ticket.
All input requires only the handicapper's computer mouse. Runner selections are entered using a series of check boxes and dropdown lists while betting line odds are entered using a simple slide control. No keyboard entry is ever required!
